Chronic tinnitus due to inner ear damage has no definitive cure in most cases, but there are very effective treatments to reduce its impact.

Why do my ears ring?

Tinnitus occurs when cells in the inner ear or auditory pathways send signals to the brain even though there is no actual sound to trigger them. If symptoms persist, it’s best to consult a specialist.

Does tinnitus get worse over time?
Not necessarily. In many people, it stabilizes or even improves over time, especially with appropriate treatment.
